With the ongoing drought conditions in Texas, lake water levels in the Texas Hill Country are a concern for everyone, particularly those looking to purchase property on or near a lake.  Low water levels can have a negative impact on both recreation and property values.  Access to the lake can be restricted by the closing of boat ramps and sometimes swim areas.  And watering restrictions, besides being a nuisance, can also have a negative effect on the value of your landscaping.

A Musical Treasure in the Texas Hill Country


As a resident of the Texas Hill Country just outside New Braunfels and San Antonio I can tell you that there is an abundance of musical entertainment in every genre to be found.  My husband and I have had the pleasure of experiencing the San Antonio Symphony at the Majestic Theater, country artists at Gruene Hal in historic Gruene, and up-and-coming blues/rock groups at Phoenix Saloon in New Braunfels.  This past Sunday we attended the final performance of the Mid Texas Symphony’s 35th season, and it was a complete joy.
