Canyon Lake Texas Fun at Wein and Saengerfest in New Braunfels!
No plans for the weekend? You are in luck. Whether or not you live in Canyon Lake, Texas, make plans to head to historical downtown New Braunfels this Saturday, May 5th for the 9th Annual Wein & Saengerfest. It begins at noon and lasts late into the evening. There is no question that you will have a great time!
Sample 31 wines, 15 of which are from the great state of Texas and others from California, Germany, Spain and South America. The events are nonstop. There is continuous live music, a grape stomp, art market, food seminars, a Chef's Showdown, and activities for the kids - culminating with a street dance at Main Plaza! Wow! What a great time. Weinstein University

Chef Showdown
The Chef Showdown begins at 5:00 PM at the Bier Garten Stage. Eight amateur teams compete against each other in two heats (four chefs per heat). Each team is asked to prepare a dish using a gas grill to cook mystery ingredients in twenty minutes. Teams have access to a common pantry to complete their meals. Dishes are judged on taste, creativity, presentation, wine pairing and performance under pressure.
